Enrichment Classes: Wine

Wine lovers, connoisseurs or novices are invited to two wine tastings.

Grape Wars: Battle for the Bargain

South America has become an invaluable source of great-value wine. But a wine lover's view of the continent is probably completely skewed by which side of the Atlantic he or she lives on. Some Americans have fallen in love with Malbec from Argentina while others have gone for Carmenere and Chilean wines. We will try wines from each side of the continent and decide which ones deserve the praise of the "Best Bang for the Buck".

Colette Comeau, a Rochester resident and Certified Sommelier, works with Jean-Jacques Fertal at Eagle Eye Imports.

Spring Fling: Wines to Pour on the Porch

As much as we love to discuss great wines in poetic form, we also love the simplicity of honest, thirst quenching wines in the dog days of summer. Don't worry, great wines can be refreshing, too! We will try wines meant to be enjoyed when we are at our best. Fun in the sun with a bottle. Try Pinot Grigio, Rose, Pinot Noir and easy drinking reds. Join in the fun.
